Service Description

Clients pursuing ketamine treatment in our practice are required to work with a therapist for preparation and integration of the experience. Eric is our staff therapist! From Eric: Hi, I’m Eric. I believe building a supportive relationship that is nonjudgmental, transparent and collaborative is essential to helpful therapy. I strive to provide a safe and compassionate space where clients are encouraged to gain self-awareness and clarity about their lived experience, while honoring the innate wisdom and values each person brings with them. I aid clients in exploring and understanding patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior to empower creative choice toward personally meaningful change for a more fulfilling life. My counseling style is grounded in a Humanistic approach. I believe that each person naturally holds resources and potential for healing and growth. While many factors in life can lead to feeling stuck or alienated, it is a central goal of therapy to engage with this internal tendency toward wholeness and connection; connection with self, others and the world. My approach is also mindfulness informed and meditative practices, when desired, can be used to help promote intuitive awareness and a sense of acceptance. In the words of psychologist Carl Rogers “The curious paradox is, when I accept myself as I am, then I can change.” I help clients with a variety of concerns and have particular interest in working through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, adjustment to life transitions, identity development, and spiritual exploration. In addition to my licensure as a PLPC and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans, I hold an MA in Teaching and a BA in Psychology from the University of New Orleans. This background has equipped me with a knowledge and empathic understanding of human suffering, as well as human development, which facilitates my work in support of each client on their personal therapeutic journey. I see both therapy and psychedelic medicines as resources which offer the potential to shift the way we view and relate to ourselves and the world. When combined, these resources offer a profound synergy that can empower the ability to make meaningful changes in our lives and how we experience patterns of thought, feeling and behavior.
